Installation of the webring navigation banner
The next step is to install the webring navigation banner. This banner connects all the sites in the Japanese Language Material Ring, and without this banner, your site will not be recognized as a part of the webring. Read the following instructions carefully, and install the banner on the top page of your website, a section of the website, or a webpage.
* You need to insert your site ID# in the section (SITE ID) marked in red in the following HTML code. Your site ID# is supplied in the automated message you received from WebringJapan when you registered your site. There are two sections you need to change (SITE ID) to your site ID#: for 'previous' and 'next' links. By stating your site ID# here, 'previous' link takes you to the site before yours, and the 'next' link to the one after yours. If your site ID# is 5, then the HTML codes for these two sections should look like these:

After successfully installing the navigation banner, you need to contact the webmaster of the Japanese Language Material Ring by e-mail. Your e-mail message to the webmaster should look like this:
From: your e-mail address (the webmaster will contact you if the navigation banner is not working)
To: webmaster
Subject: Japanese Language Material Ring
Content: I have installed the webring navigation banner onto my site. URL of my site is http://... |
When your e-mail message is received, the webmaster will visit your site and test the webring navigation banner. If everything is working fine, the webmaster will add your site to the Japanese Language Material Ring. Your submission of the site to the webring is only the first step, and you do need to:
1) install webring navigation banner
2) contact the webmaster by e-mail after installing the banner
to be added to the webring officially. You will receive an automatic notice from WebringJapan after your site is officially added to the Japanese Language Material RIng.
